Acquisitions and real estate development

We provide advice in the area of property law for all types of transactions – from property transfers for individual clients (including escrow), through acquisition of commercial properties or real-estate companies, to comprehensive legal advisory services in real estate development projects.

When carrying out business transactions involving properties, we are able to provide comprehensive legal services: legal due diligence, transaction documentation negotiation, design and implementation of a suitable financing structure, and subsequent settlement of the entire transaction.

Reference transactions:

  1. Advisory services in the acquisition of two shopping centers in Prague (Harfa and Šestka) and a premium office building in Bratislava (Westend) through a newly created Czech SICAV investment fund and the subsequent issue of investment shares.

  2. Advisory services for developer group KKIG for implementation of a development residential project in Prague, Spořilov, including the design and implementation of the financing by means of a combination of a bank loan and issue of debentures.

  3. Advisory services for a major investor in the preparation and implementation of a development project of private student dormitory in Prague 6.

ADVICE TO CONSUMERS

Pursuant to Act No. 634/1992 Sb. (Collection of Laws), Consumer Protection Act, as amended, the client is entitled, in the event of a dispute between an attorney and the client, to file a request for out-of-court settlement of the dispute with the Czech Bar Association (Česká advokátní komora) within one year of the date when the client first exercised his/her right in question. The commencement of the process of out-of-court settlement of the consumer dispute shall be without prejudice to the right of the parties to the dispute to seek protection of their rights and legitimate interests by legal action.
